I’ve had the same one for over 3 years now – it’s so good that I bought a second one for my new place. Highly recommended, comes with one year warranty – although my last one never broke. I tried my new one just now, it’s just as good. You won’t make a mistake with this model!

The machine makes good coffee with DC (Dolce Gusto) capsules and also with Nespresso capsules. I haven’t tried the powder yet. With DC capsules, the foam for a latte macchiato is of good consistency and lasts a long time. The selection of several types of capsules and coffee powder that can be used, plus the coffee quality, is excellent and worth the money. There are 3 different capsule holders included. For coffee powder, there is a spoon with a tamper to press the powder down firmly and instructions are included. You can also use it to make cold drinks. All in all, I am very satisfied with it. I would definitely buy it again, thank you.

I’ll give as many details as I can in this review because I am pleasantly surprised. 5 stars. The machine was delivered today, it was packed tightly and nothing was damaged or scratched. There are pods for: ground coffee (and from pics in the manual I can discern that into the same pod you can put in a smaller silver pod for ESE), separate pod for Nespresso and a third separate pod for DG capsules. Other accessories include a spoon for ground coffee with a flat bottom (to pat down the coffee) and a syringe/plunge type of thing to pump water directly into the opening for water if something doesn’t work or the machine needs a tune up. As for the machine, it works great. I actually expected it to be much louder than it is. It was quiet enough that I had to look closely to see if there was coffee pouring into the cup – it was. It heats up the water quickly and the coffee I drank was hot enough I had to blow on it and still wait a moment before drinking to avoid burns. After the coffee is done extracting, some water/coffee/milk (depending on the capsule) will continue to drip for a while but I expected nothing else so I’m not mad about it. There are only three buttons to use: the on/off, little cup and big cup. There is no button to adjust water levels nor a screen to show time in seconds but because there is the option of manually programming the two buttons to extract coffee for however long you want it between 15-90sec, I find it easy and doable. I did it accordingly to the manual and held down each button (not at the same time) for however long I measured on my stopwatch and the next time I pressed the buttons just once, it extracted the coffee for the time I adjusted it to. Inserting and extracting the pods is easy, doesn’t require immense strength or struggle and the coffee was delicious. As for the DG capsules, they have symbols on them for water levels that I thought would be tricky with this HiBrew but almost no internet surfing told me what I needed. I made DG latte macchiato (2 bars for coffee and 5 for milk capsule) and found that I needed 15 sec for milk and 25sec for coffee. If I’ll only drink latte macchiato, I don’t need to change the settings, just one click. If I buy other capsules, I’ll simply change the time setting for the one I find on the DG website (because I found one forum where it said one bar=5sec for DG capsules but it made no sense because the DG website said two bars meant 15s and five meant 25s – the math ain’t mathing on this one). For now, with the setting I put on, I put in the DG latte macchiato, press the big cup for milk, small cup for coffee and it’s done. I also tried the Nespresso pod and it works, there’s no need to puncture the capsule yourself like I feared. The ground coffee also tastes great and I’m glad because that’s mostly what I drink. All in all, the price for this coffee machine and being able to make ground coffee plus use 3 different types of capsules and cold drinks is amazing.
